Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are traditionally used to fix damaged teeth but a crown (sometimes referred to as a cap) may also be an option for those looking to transform the appearance of a crooked, stained, chipped or badly worn tooth to help create a brand new, straighter and more natural looking smile.

Usually made from gold or porcelain , a crown is an artificial way of replacing the damaged section of a tooth. Your dentist will make a mould of your existing tooth and chart the colour then a highly trained technician will create the crown, matching the colour to your existing teeth and rectifying any imperfections with the shape or alignment of the tooth.

The whole procedure should be relatively pain-free as you will have a local anaesthetic to numb your mouth using the new Wand technology, whilst the crown is fitted. Once in place the crown should look and feel like a natural tooth.
