Tooth Colour Fillings

If you have damage to your teeth, either from an accident or caused by decay, your dentist will most likely repair this damage with a filling. Fillings are a common procedure and this straightforward treatment will be carried out under a local anaesthetic using the new Wand technology. The Wand is a computer controlled method of delivering local anaesthetic making the dental injection quick and relatively painless. Once your mouth is numb your dentist will remove the decayed area of tooth and the affected area will be cleaned and dried before the filling material – a mixture of plastic and fine glass particles – is added, set then filed down and polished so it’s smooth and unnoticeable in your mouth.

We understand that visible fillings can make you self-conscious about the appearance of your mouth. At Llanishen Dental Centre we only use tooth coloured fillings which we can carefully match to the existing shade of your teeth, making any filling virtually invisible and restoring the natural look and feel of your teeth.
